Corten SteelCorten steel is a weathering steel alloy that is designed to form stable rust-like appearance on the surface. Like copper, Corten's defensive layer protects the metal that’s beneath from corrosion. When exposed to natural weather over the years, a marbling of different shades of rich orange and brown forms on the surface of the metal, similar to that of rust. Due to its natural appearance, it eliminates the need for painting and upkeep, making it a very low maintenance choice. On top of its unique aesthetic, Corten sheets are easily formed into panels and can be manipulated into custom architectural shapes and designs. |

Low Maintenance
Corten steel was intentionally developed in order to eliminate the process and need for painting. Under natural weather conditions, Corten steel forms a unique rust-like layer of rich orange and brown. Due to its natural regenerating outer layer, Corten steels require no upkeep. The layer also doubles as a protective coating against corrosion. |
CORrosion resistance + TENsile strength = CORTENCorten steel's natural forming layer gives it its signature protective characteristic. However, another added benefit of using Corten is its ease of manipulation. Since the steel is easy to mold and shape, it demonstrates its unlimited possibilities of custom architectural design. |
